TODAY, the eighth ever Superhero Tri challenge took place at the 2012 Paralympic venue Dorney Lake in Windsor.
The UK’s only mass-participation sporting event for people with disabilities of any kind, the Superhero Tri, powered by Marvel, provides people of all ages with the opportunity to enjoy full-throttle sporting challenges.
Today saw over 3,300 people take part, alongside a number of Celebrity Team Captains which included Adam Hills (Comedian and talk show host), Anne Usher (Para-canoe gold medalist), Briony May Williams (Food columnist & GBBO semi-finalist), Jordan Jarrett-Bryan (TV reporter and presenter) and Sophie Christiansen (Paralympic Equestrian gold medalist). Former Paralympian, Sophia Warner, founded the Superhero Series challenges in 2017 out of a lack of sporting events for people with disabilities.
