Special Educational Needs

Aergo - Designed to Empower

Aergo

Aergo is a smarter postural support system for wheelchair users, empowering people to be more independent in their daily lives. The system has a network of air cells that detects pressure changes and adjusts automatically to provide continuous support as the user moves. It is the first device of its kind to give users more control over their own posture with a remote-control and expandable frame that can be tailored to fit a range of body shapes.

Aergo is the brainchild of CEO, Sheana Yu, a London-based design engineer. Having suffered with scoliosis throughout her life, Sheana is on a mission to create inclusive products that empower people with postural needs to be more independent.

FestABLE new national festival

FestABLE

A new national festival, called FestABLE,  of specialist learning is bringing together professionals, parents and young people to tackle the big issues facing young people with disabilities and learning difficulties.

FestABLE will be held on June 2 at National Star College in Cheltenham. It will be the UK’s first national festival dedicated to specialist learning.

SEND reform, the Children and Families Act and whether services and systems count more than choice and aspirations are some of the headline themes.
