Wigwam® Holidays, one of the UK’s leading glamping accommodation providers, has unveiled its latest innovation: a brand new accessible cabin!
The company, which has its headquarters in Edinburgh, launched the Running Water Deluxe Accessible Wigwam® Cabin at its Annual Conference in November.
The conference was the ideal opportunity to reveal this latest innovation to new and existing Wigwam® Site owners and the event was attended by Olympic ski jumper Michael Eddie Edwards, also known as ‘Eddie the Eagle’, who was one of several guest speakers.
A number of sites are set to take delivery of the cabin ready for the 2019 season.
Charles Gulland, Managing Director of Wigwam® Holidays, said: “Wigwam® Holidays is very proud to announce another ‘first’ for the glamping industry.
“Our new accessible cabin will have an electric charging point, a wide access wet room with grab rails, a ramp to get in and out of the cabin, lowered sink and hob, sufficient wheel chair turning circles and the fittings for a mobile hoist.
“We firmly believe that having a great holiday in the great outdoors should be accessible to everybody. Our annual Wigwam® Conference was the perfect opportunity to officially launch this exciting new product.
“The cabin has been kept under wraps with our exclusive design taking into consideration the various requirements that would allow full access. One of our Wigwam® Franchisees, The Loft, commissioned this new and innovative cabin and the site, based near Elgin, Scotland, will have the cabins ready for Spring 2019.
“In addition we have a number of Wigwam® Sites that will be taking delivery of these cabins in the near future, which measures 8.7m in length, and they have been designed and produced at our workshop in Scotland.”
Wigwam® Holidays have over 80 sites located at spectacular location across the UK. Many sites are open throughout the year and most are dog friendly.
