Slip back into the days of Art Deco decadence in the 1930’s

October 4, 2018

We can have up to 14 adults and 5 children (sharing family rooms) in this magnificent house, booking as a whole house let for weeks (in the summer) or weekends or mid week breaks the rest of the year, and yes, we are open for Christmas and New Year bookings. The moment you see this magnificent house with its opulent windows and the green roof, you enter via the large front door into the beautiful entrance hall with its stained glass windows. Immediately you are transported back to the days after the Wall Street Crash, when Art Deco simply meant luxury, glamour and exuberance.

Marine Villa, The Art Deco House is unlike probably any other self catering property in the south of England, and is just 3 hours door to door from London.

The house is like being transported back to the 1930’s but make no mistake, this is an Art Deco home for your holiday or break, this is certainly no museum! Guests often get caught up in the whole atmosphere, dressing up for dinner or having a murder mystery game, or just sitting around the 20 seater dining table and enjoying being together in such a special place.

Despite being built so many years ago, the whole ground floor is single level with no steps once inside the house, all the doors are extra wide, perfect for someone in a wheelchair and there is a separate wheelchair access that also allows someone with limited mobility to also enjoy the gardens. There is a walk-in wet room as well, but unfortunately we do not have the ability to allow a hoist to be used in the house (Visit England rate us as Mobility 1 and 2). The kitchen is a bit tight for wheelchair users but with everyone helping, the house has been a great success for many guests with limited mobility.
