Argos Business Centres providing merchandise to those in need

Mencap is the leading voice of learning disability. Everything they do is about valuing and supporting people with a learning disability, and their families and carers.

Their vision is a world where people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included.

At Argos for Business we are always looking to assist charities in providing essential items for those in need, and our latest project has seen us join forces with Mencap to do exactly this.

Mencap wants to contribute to improving the quality of life for people with a learning disability, and to help them achieve this we have begun supplying the necessary products to help the people (and their families) who need them.

Improving lives with the right productsargos

Since working with us, Mencap has built up a bespoke range of products in its colleague procurement platform, allowing the team to offer items out to those who need them.

Sam Jenner, senior buyer at Mencap says: “The choice of over 50,000 products from Argos meant that building a bespoke range was easy, giving us the ability to choose what we really need, whilst maintaining control which is great”.

Support where it’s most needed

Mencap exists to improve the lives of people with a learning disability and their families, and fight alongside them for a better future. To do so, it teams up with its network of over 400 local groups, along with Argos for Business, to reach people across England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Sam says: “Quality customer service is really important to us, and that is why we place our orders through an Argos Business Centre. The team have a real understanding of our needs, and a colleague is always available if we need to discuss anything with them. This helps make the whole process nice and easy, right through to the delivery of the products.

“We can trust Argos to get the products that the people we support need into their hands quickly and effortlessly. Giving us more time to concentrate on providing a high level of support and care to the families we work with”.
